BEYOND THE 72

Emergency Preparedness Product Safety Disclosure, Disclaimer of Warranties & Customer Acknowledgment

Business Name: Beyond the 72

1. Purpose of Products

Beyond the 72 provides emergency preparedness kits and supplies intended to assist individuals, families, caregivers, and pet owners in preparing for potential emergencies, natural disasters, evacuations, and other unexpected situations.

Our products are designed to support emergency readiness by organizing and providing selected supplies that may be useful during an emergency.

Beyond the 72 does not represent, promise, or guarantee that any product will prevent injury, illness, property damage, or loss of life.

2. No Guarantee of Survival or Safety

By purchasing or using products from Beyond the 72, the customer acknowledges and understands that:

  • Emergency situations are unpredictable and may involve circumstances beyond the control of Beyond the 72.

  • No emergency preparedness kit can guarantee an individual's or animal's safety, survival, or well-being.

  • Product effectiveness depends on numerous factors, including the type and severity of the emergency, environmental conditions, individual health and physical abilities, access to additional resources, and proper use of the supplies.

  • A product described as a "72-hour emergency go bag" is intended to support preparedness for an approximately 72-hour period but does not guarantee that all needs will be met for that duration.

The purchase or possession of an emergency go bag does not guarantee protection from injury, illness, death, or other harm.

3. Customer Responsibility

The customer is responsible for evaluating whether the purchased product is appropriate for their specific needs and circumstances.

Customer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing and understanding the contents of the purchased emergency bag.

  • Inspecting all products and supplies upon receipt and before use.

  • Learning how to safely and correctly operate any included equipment.

  • Checking expiration dates and replacing expired, damaged, defective, or depleted supplies.

  • Maintaining appropriate food, drinking water, medications, and other essential supplies based on individual needs.

  • Ensuring clothing, footwear, protective equipment, and other size-dependent items fit properly.

  • Updating emergency contact information and personal documentation.

  • Following all manufacturer instructions, warnings, and safety recommendations.

  • Maintaining an appropriate emergency preparedness plan and monitoring official emergency alerts and evacuation instructions.

Customers should regularly inspect and update their emergency bags as personal needs and circumstances change.

4. Food, Water, Medical & First Aid Supplies

Food, drinking water, first aid supplies, and medical-related products included in emergency bags are intended to support preparedness and are not substitutes for individualized medical advice, treatment, or emergency medical services.

Beyond the 72 does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or professional medical services.

Customers are responsible for reviewing dietary restrictions, food allergies, medical conditions, medication requirements, and hydration needs.

Water filtration and purification products must be used according to manufacturer instructions. Such products may not remove every type of contaminant or make all water sources safe to drink.

Customers should not assume that an emergency bag contains sufficient drinking water, calories, medications, or medical supplies for every person or situation without independently verifying the quantities and their individual requirements.

5. Baby, Toddler & Pet Emergency Bags

Emergency bags designed for babies, toddlers, and pets require additional attention to individual needs.

Parents, legal guardians, caregivers, and pet owners are responsible for selecting, reviewing, and maintaining appropriate supplies.

This includes ensuring that food, formula, clothing, diapers, medications, pet food, harnesses, protective equipment, and other products are suitable for the intended recipient.

All baby and toddler supplies must be used with appropriate adult supervision and according to applicable age and safety guidelines.

Pet owners are responsible for ensuring that supplies are appropriate for their animal's size, breed, health, dietary requirements, and environmental conditions.

Beyond the 72 does not guarantee that a baby, toddler, or pet emergency bag will meet every individual need or ensure the safety or survival of any child or animal during an emergency.

6. Product Variations & Third-Party Products

Emergency bags may contain products manufactured or supplied by third parties.

Customers should review and follow all instructions, warnings, expiration dates, and safety information provided by the original manufacturers.

Product brands, colors, packaging, and specific components may vary as disclosed at the time of purchase. Any substitutions will be subject to applicable consumer protection laws and the terms communicated to the customer.

Beyond the 72 does not independently certify third-party products unless expressly stated.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BEYOND THE 72 DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES TO THE EXTENT SUCH WARRANTIES MAY LAWFULLY BE DISCLAIMED, EXCEPT FOR WARRANTIES EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN WRITING OR RIGHTS THAT CANNOT LEGALLY BE EXCLUDED.

Nothing in this disclosure is intended to exclude, limit, or modify any warranty, consumer protection, or other legal right that cannot be waived under applicable law.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Beyond the 72 shall not be liable for losses or damages arising solely from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including the unpredictable nature of an emergency or a customer's improper use, storage, maintenance, or modification of products.

Nothing in this disclosure is intended to exclude or limit liability for defective products, negligence, gross negligence, willful misconduct, misrepresentation, or any other matter to the extent such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Any limitation of liability shall apply only to the extent enforceable under applicable law.

9. Emergency Planning & Professional Guidance

Beyond the 72 encourages all customers to develop and maintain an emergency preparedness plan appropriate for their household, location, health needs, and circumstances.

Customers should consult appropriate professionals and reliable emergency management resources when determining their preparedness needs.

In an actual emergency, customers should follow directions from emergency responders, evacuation authorities, and other appropriate public safety officials.

Emergency preparedness products are supplemental resources and are not substitutes for emergency services, professional medical care, or appropriate safety procedures.
